1. Do not buy in bulk.
Your produce will rot before you eat it. Rotten produce is unappetizing. It is also useless. Remember, you will go to the grocery store again! Probably soon! You will have another chance to buy mangoes or starfruit or mustard greens. Just take what you need for this week. You can always come back for more.
2. Do impulse buy.
You’re more likely to eat what appeals to you, so go ahead and buy the pomegranite or the Asian pear, even if it costs a little more. Buying fruits and vegetables that you like is the surest way to increase the amount of produce you actually eat. Remember, food is only useful if you eat it. You cannot possibly get your vitamins from the unappealing bulk produce rotting languishing in your crisper drawer.
